Hey guys! My name is Leah Callen, and this is my blog! I pray that what I write on this blog can be encouraging to you, and that it helps you grow closer to the Lord and more fully understand and be confident in the reality of your identity in Christ. We have ALL been beautifully and wonderfully made by our Creator, and one of my biggest goals for this blog is to allow the Holy Spirit to speak to you through what I write, which will be fully based in scriptural truths that discuss who GOD says you are. I hope more than anything that you are more confident in who God has made you to be and that you grow deeper in your love for God through reading my blog posts. Some of my favorite passages of scripture:

  1. Psalm 23 (full chapter): “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table for me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever”, (ESV).
  2. Isaiah 40:29-31: “He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and the young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint”, (NIV).
  3. Phillippians 4:6-7: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus”, (NIV).
  4. Phillippians 4:12-13: “I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all this through him who gives me strength“, (NIV) (italics added for emphasis).
  5. 2 Corinthians 12:9-10: “Each time he said, ‘My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.’ So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong”, (NLT) (italics added for emphasis).
  6. Romans 8:5-6: “Those who live according to the flesh have their minds on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the life governed by the Spirit is life and peace”, (NIV).
  7. James 1:2-4: “Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing”, (NLT).
